Quick answers

Which meeting apps can Pear record?

Pear supports Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex, FaceTime, Slack, Discord, and browser-based meetings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Brave, and Edge. You choose the app Pear captures.

Can Pear capture both sides of a meeting?

Yes. Pear records audio from the Mac app you select together with your microphone, then keeps both sources with the same timestamped session.

Where does Pear keep my recordings?

Pear stores recordings, transcripts, and session details locally in its sandboxed app container on your Mac. Pear does not upload them during normal operation.

Does Pear upload my meeting data?

No. Pear’s normal workflow uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition and does not send recordings, transcripts, or session details to Roman Birg or a remote transcription service.

What Mac and permissions does Pear require?

Pear requires macOS 15.5 or later. Microphone access captures your voice, Screen & System Audio Recording captures the app you choose, and Speech Recognition turns the recording into text. You can review each permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

How do purchases and refunds work?

Pear is distributed through the Mac App Store. Apple shows the current regional price and manages downloads, receipts, and refund requests. Open Pear on the Mac App Store
